In this class, students will learn about the courageous life and legacy of John Brown, a pivotal figure in American history. We will explore the fascinating story of a man who played a significant role in the abolition movement and the fight against slavery.
Throughout the class, we'll journey through John Brown's early life, examining the experiences and influences that shaped his strong abolitionist convictions. Students will gain a deeper understanding of his strong beliefs in pushing to end slavery and his commitment to taking direct action against it. We will discuss his role in the Pottawatomie massacre and the raid on Harpers Ferry.
It is also important that we explore the differing perspectives on his actions. Many viewed him as a hero while others viewed him as an extremist. 

By the end of class, students will have a better understanding of John Brown and his courageous action on fighting against slavery.


This class will be very informative and it also connects to my other history classes. This lesson will be interactive, and each student will have an opportunity to share their thoughts and opinions.
