Follows Teacher-Created Curriculum
Aligned with Advanced Placement (AP) Standards
Each week in this ongoing course, we will engage with historical primary documents to explore a historical debate. These discussions will involve various cultures and time periods. Students will learn to analyze primary documents and synthesize the diverse perspectives of the documents. They will build oral presentation skills through in-class discussion of the various sides of the debate. Students will learn how to analyze primary documents and engage in historical debate, presenting their ideas both orally and in writing.
I have a master's degree from the University of Cambridge and 15 years of teaching experience in historical debates. I am an AP approved teacher in AP US history, AP European history, and AP World history.

For parental guidance, the topics we will discuss might have moments of violence or deal with sensitive subjects such as slavery. In all cases where sensitive or controversial topics will be discuss, I will offer a warning to the parents with details related to any sensitive issues for that week and depend on the parents for appropriate guidance to meet their learner's maturity level.
