3x 每週 ELA/寫作輔導

**To schedule this class, please send me a message.  Currently, I have a pretty full schedule, but I will do my best to work around your scheduling needs.**

This class is designed explicitly for individualized one-on-one writing/ELA tutoring.  The topics covered in the course will vary by student and will be decided upon at enrollment with the parent.  I am happy to help with homework assignments, or I can create materials that will support the agreed-upon learning goal of your learner.  I am always happy to add a theme (when possible) to our learning.  For example, if your child loves Minecraft, I will do my best to add the theme of Minecraft to help create a positive and fun learning environment for your child.  

Example Topics/Class Formats:

We Could... 
*Learn the essential elements of story writing and the writing process.
*Learn how to use graphic organizers to gather your thoughts. 
*Learn the importance of adding details to writing, and discuss strategies to help you (stretching sentences, five senses, show, don't tell, 5W's, etc.)
*Learn strategies that will help improve editing and revising skills.
*Discuss grammar topics/parts of speech. 
*Focus on creative writing by working together to write a story.
*Practice writing narratives, opinion, persuasive, and informational pieces.
*Strengthen reading skills.

I believe children learn best when they feel they are in a safe and fun learning environment.  I am so passionate about helping your learner understand and breakthrough their frustration.  Many students struggle and feel like they have failed because they do not understand certain concepts that everybody else seems to understand easily.  Together, I believe we can make learning fun again.
