In this course, students will be given guided practice problems to evaluate expressions using order of operations.  Expressions can use either whole numbers, fractions, or decimals. This should not be the student's first exposure to this mathematical operation. Students will be given immediate feedback, guided error correction, and reteaching as needed during the class. Strategies such as using visual models and following the acronym PEMDAS or GEMDAS to find answers will be demonstrated as needed. Students should have a basic understanding of adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing before attending this class.
