In this course, students will be given guided practice problems to evaluate expressions using order of operations. This should not be the student's first exposure to this mathematical operation. Students will be given immediate feedback, guided error correction, and reteaching as needed during the class. Strategies such as using visual models and following the acronym PEMDAS or GEMDAS to find answers will be demonstrated as needed. Students should have a basic understanding of adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing multi-digit whole numbers before attending this class. Please schedule your sessions carefully, as missed sessions will not be rescheduled or refunded.

Hello! I have been teaching and working in the public school setting for the past nineteen years, and tutoring privately for the past ten years. I have worked with students ranging from kindergarten to eighth grade in math, reading, writing mechanics, American History, and beginning Spanish. I especially enjoy working with students in small groups or individually, and developed skills as an online educator when schools had to close for the pandemic. I have continued to work online with learners today, and truly enjoy it. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy watching television and movies, and traveling with my family.評論
