Class can be made custom to the learner or groups interest in styles, goals and focus. We can incorporate stretching, technique, pirouettes, ballet/jazz steps or learning to connect movements to become more fluid. If you would like to learn a short piece of choreography we can do that too! Class will begin with an introduction followed by a brief discussion about the learners goals, interests and abilities. *Dance movements are excellent for improving mobility, balance and coordination! Dance helps with focus, discipline and listening skills. *Learning the fundamentals of dance (specifically ballet) is very helpful with training in figure skating and gymnastics as well.
I have a Bachelors of Science Degree in Dance Performance with a minor in Health Education. In addition, I have been teaching and doing choreography for over 15 years. I was a background dancer in Disney's High School Musical 2. I have worked with all ages teaching ballet, jazz, tap and modern dance and have done the choreography for many musical productions and groups. *In addition I have worked with gymnasts and figure skaters on basic ballet technique and musicality.
