It's the perfect time to get outside and use the world around us to create beautiful and fanciful fairy houses to display. 
In this 1 day course you will learn about fairy houses, their history and why people make them. You will then brainstorm ideas for our very own fairy house and the materials you can use in nature in order to create it. Finally, you will construct your very own fairy house and even learn how to make furniture and accessories for your fairies to enjoy.

During this course your student will be using various subject and content areas when designing their fairy houses. Through teacher guided conversation, math, science and history we will cover many topics while also having fun. Think: architecture meets design, meets art, meets math! It's sure to be a great time for all.

Your student will be guided by the teacher to make discoveries and really think outside of the box. Students will also work to create their own houses both inside and outside of class time.

This self-guided class will cover: 
* The history of fairy houses and consider what we know and like about fairy houses. 
* A variety of fairy houses and fairy furniture will be shared for inspiration, taking note of the materials being used. 
* Next, your student will be encouraged to design the blueprint for their fairy house and what they'd like to include inside. 
* Your student will gather materials for their fairy house, and use their sketched plan as a guide to complete their own house

* Extended ideas for how to use materials in nature
* How to use household materials that you already have
* Safety when constructing 
* Ideas for what you can do to expand your fairy garden
