Hello & welcome to Outschool! My name is Suzi and I'm excited to share a bit about myself.
I am a former elementary school teacher turned homeschooling mom. I have a background in Literacy education and find joy in teaching new things and helping students discover their interests through content and instruction. I think it's important to engage students through storytelling, example and hands on experiences.
As a teacher, I've taught everything from pre-school through high school grades and across all content areas. My favorite subjects to teach are history and math and I have a serious love of language and how to use it, whether it be through writing, speaking or problem solving.
My family and I live in Wisconsin. We have 3 children and 3 dogs and are originally from the East Coast...but are starting to realize we're destined to be midwesterners! My oldest is in her first year at The United States Military Academy at West Point, my middle is approaching her senior year in high school and my youngest will be a sophomore. I hope to see you in class soon!
