In this ongoing class, learners will meet once a week to create a teacher-directed seasonal craft. Materials will typically be items you already have in your home, but the supply list will always be listed a few weeks in advance. Learners will be shown step by step how to complete each craft. Students will have opportunities to practice cutting skills, pre-writing skills (tracing / coloring), and following directions. If time allows, the class will include an activity related to our craft....

Week of May 5: Ladybug Mother’s Day Card • Red paper • Black paper • White paper • Black marker • Markers or crayons • Scissors • Glue Week of May 12: Alien • Black paper • Grey paper (or dark blue if you don’t have grey) • White paper • Yellow paper • White crayon • Green paint • Paintbrush • Washcloth or paper towels (we will be painting our hand) • Googly eyes • Glue • Scissors • Pencil Week of May 19: Silhouette Sunset • White paper (art paper or cardstock is best) • Watercolor paints (or a few colors of regular paint watered down in cups) • Paintbrush • Cup of water • Black paper • Pencil • Scissors • Glue stick Week of May 26: NO CLASS (Ms. Jill is moving to a new house) Week of June 2: NO CLASS (Ms. Jill is moving to a new house) Week of June 9: Crocodile Father's Day Craft • 2 paper plates • Green paper • White paper • Black marker • Green paint • Red paint • White paint • Paper plate or paint palette to put paint on • Paintbrushes • Scissors • Glue (glue bottle or hot glue gun) • Pencil Future week's crafts are to be determined.
