In Business 101: How People Become Rich, teens will learn the absolute basics of business, entrepreneurship, and wealth-building. This course breaks down complex financial ideas into simple, practical concepts that teens can understand and apply in real life. 🚀 🌟 Entrepreneurship is a vital skill for the future. In today's fast-changing world, the ability to innovate, problem-solve, and adapt is more important than ever. This course helps teens develop critical thinking, financial literacy, and a growth mindset—essential for personal and professional success. 📚💡 Many teens dream of becoming entrepreneurs. This is the first step. What They’ll Learn: ✅ Entrepreneurship Basics 🌎 – What it means to own a business ✅ Idea Generation – How to find profitable opportunities ✅ Product/Service Creation – Turning an idea into a business ✅ Idea Testing – How to know if a business will work ✅ Marketing Concepts – Reaching the right customers ✅ Basic Business Financial Literacy – Understanding costs, revenue, and profit ✅ Developing a Business Plan – The roadmap to success Class Format: 📖 Taught through a mix of lecture, discussion, and hands-on practice activities. Exercises will be assigned after class to reinforce key concepts. ⏳ Late arrivals will be admitted at the instructor's discretion. Note on Content: 📜 This course is rooted in Classical Economic Theory, which emerged during the Enlightenment in Western Europe in the 1700s. The foundational concepts of private property, market economies, and financial independence are key themes throughout the course. 🏦 This class assumes wealth accumulation is a societally acceptable pursuit and recognizes lending, investment, and ownership as crucial financial skills. The core ideas align with John Locke’s principles on the right to hold and accumulate private property. 🌍 While these concepts apply broadly in market and mixed economies, this course does not focus on command-based systems or hyper-local economic conditions. 📢 Language Proficiency Notice: Students will engage with complex financial and business terminology. A strong command of English is required to fully grasp the material, as the course moves at an intense pace. 📌 ESA Note: This class is structured to accept ESA funds for many participating states and families. This is more than just a class—it’s a game-changer for teens ready to think like entrepreneurs and take control of their financial future. 🚀💰 Disclaimer: Educational Purposes Only This course is designed solely for educational purposes and does not constitute financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. The instructor provides information on how financial markets, investing strategies, and economic principles work but does not make recommendations regarding specific investment decisions. Any trading or investing activities, including the use of real money, are at the sole discretion of students and their families. No financial outcome is guaranteed. Participants are strongly encouraged to conduct their own research and consult with a qualified financial professional before making any financial decisions. By enrolling in this course, you acknowledge that all investment decisions carry risk, and the instructor and course provider are not responsible for any financial outcomes resulting from your personal investment choices.
