Class Experience
In this course, we will dive into business elements such as market research and networking. This class will be part lecture/discussion and part project-based assessment. Week 1-Establishing a plan from their passion to a career/business: Create a timeline/strategy to move towards to their ultimate career goals Week 2- Expert over Skill: Dive into the industry specific content for them to become an expert in their industry. Students will create a business plan that includes data-based goals and objectives. Students will also explore and master various techniques to promote their business and engage with their audience.
I am a business coach and former school teacher. As a business coach, I work with successful business owners use research to create data-based products and services. I also work with them on using social media and email marketing to nurture clients and generate sales.
Between each session, students will be assigned a task tied directly to the upcoming session. Students will need specific data to their niche and audience to better engage and get the most out of their business plan.
Students will need access to social media apps such as Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok and Youtube. They should also have an email address as well.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Students will need to engage on social media for their homework in regards to collecting market research and marketing. Parent supervision is advised.
