A fun way to help your kids reading and comprehension is to give them interesting subjects to read about. Students will read 3 fun short stories from topics in science and history. This helps students learn to love reading, all the while they are practicing and building their skills. I am a veteran homeschool mom of 20+ years. I have a Masters Degree in Teaching and Learning with Technology. In my years of experience I have taught kids reading through personalized help mostly on a 1 on 1 basis customized to what best fits their learning style. I believe not all kids fit in one mold and different approaches need to be made to help each student move forward and succeed in their education.
