In this class, we will take an in-depth look at the personal history, education, career, triumphs, failures, and impact of each of our American Presidents. Each class will consist of lectures and films over the different Presidents presented through a PowerPoint presentation. The last 20-25 minutes of class will be a guided discussion over the topics learned. Students are encouraged to ask questions throughout class. Each student will have the option of choosing which homework topic interests him/her out of 3-5 options, and will then write a short (1-2 paragraphs) which will be read to the class at the beginning of the following class (2 minutes each). If students are uncomfortable reading in front of the class, they can email me their homework before class meets. A sample note sheet will be provided to help students keep track of important information.

We will meet twice a week for 20 weeks. This does not include holiday weeks, so class may run 25-30 weeks.
