Grado de EE. UU. 3 - 5
In this class, we will take a look at the history of each state: Who settled it? When and how did it join the Union? What important events happened there and who came from there? What is it most known for today? We will explore the culture of each state and what sets it apart. My goal with this class is to cover more than the state tree, flower, and motto. I want students to discover and learn which state has a State Park that has the only diamond mine in the world that is open to the public, which state has a law where it is illegal to eat fried chicken with a fork, what is the only state that has a state seal designed by a woman, what state produces the most sweet potatoes, and more! - The order of the class is listed below. We will cover each state in the order that they joined the Union. Some of the topics covered will be Native American History, the American Revolutionary War, the Civil War, the Industrial Age, people that are famous from that sate, and what each state is most known for. - Each week is an independent class. You pay for each week that you would like to join. You can pay for each week that you choose to attend class. There is no start or end date, so feel free to come and go as your schedule dictates. - As this is a weekly subscription class, there is no homework. Each class will consist of a powerpoint lecture, some videos, and a brief history about the time period.Since this class is only 45 minutes long and we are trying to cover a lot of material, the majority of our "discussions" will be through the chat box. 2024 Week of July 1 NO CLASS July 8 New Hampshire July 15 Virginia July 22 New York July 29 North Carolina August 5 Rhode Island August 12 Vermont August 19 Kentucky August 26 Tennessee September 2 Ohio September 9 Louisiana September 16 Indiana September 23 NO CLASS September 30 Mississippi October 7 Illinois October 14 Alabama October 21 Maine October 28 Missouri November 4 Arkansas November 11 Michigan November 18 Florida November 25 NO CLASS December 2 Texas December 9 Iowa December 16 Wisconsin December 23 Monday only December 30 NO CLASS 2025 Dates Week of: January 6 January 13 January 20 January 27 February 3 February 10 February 17 February 24 March 3 March 10 March 17 NO CLASS March 24 March 31 April 7 April 14 April 21 April 28 May 5 May 12 May 19 May 26 June 2 June 9 June 16 June 23 NO CLASS June 30 NO CLASS July 7 July 14 July 21 July 28 August 4 August 11 August 18 August 25 September 1 September 8 September 15 September 22 September 29 NO CLASS October 6 October 13 October 20 October 27 November 3 November 10 November 17 November 24 NO CLASS December 1 December 8 December 15 December 22 NO CLASS December 29 NO CLASS

I have been an educator on Outschool since February of 2018. I have my MBA and MHA, both of which have taught me the value of conducting research and asking questions. I have a passion for history, organization, reading, and learning. You can usually find me in the middle of 2-3 books or watching a documentary.
