This is a 16-week-long class that will have your students looking at several topics from Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and well as Trigonometry for math. They will also be getting reading enrichment by learning how to tackle multiple choice questions on literature, social science, and science reading passages. We will also be tackling several grammar lessons to cover the standard conventions of English grammar. Lastly, we will look briefly at how to write essays.

Students will learn these concepts through drills and lessons in class. Students will take three tests throughout the class to gauge how much they are learning and their progression through the topics.

A B O U T M E A N D M Y S T Y L E

I have been teaching essay writing for over ten years and I love to expand students writing by asking them questions about their writing to get them to expand their ideas. I also believe that students need to have a structure to write from to really master the art of essay writing.

I also have lots of experience with students with a number of different abilities and neurodiverse students. I have experience with blind students, autistic students, students with ADHD, etc. If your student needs any accommodations to make this class more accessible for them please feel free to reach out and I will make these accommodations to the best of my ability.

Metas de aprendizaje

Students will improve their understanding of a number of high school math and English Concepts.
