Prepare delectable French macarons using the renowned French Meringue Technique and fill them with delightful vanilla buttercream. Perfect for challenging young bakers and developing lifelong culinary skills. *Limited to 6 bakers per class. (Born Baker does run with single students! No cancellations here.) Ages are flexible; we encourage adult sous chefs to assist younger learners (off-camera - of course). Pre-work required. Please read the included *equipment and inventory* - you may not have the required items for this class... yet! Students should arrive at class with their mise-en-place ready to go. Get ready to elevate your baking game! We are making FRENCH MACARONS in class + a Vanilla Buttercream Like real pastry chefs, your learners will be using metric scales and measures so please read the full class description so you know what to expect and what your learner will need for equipment and inventory. Chefs are available during the class week for questions, clarifications, advice, and feedback. This is a LIVE class, which means there is ONE session lasting 120 minutes. Your learner can access course materials for 30 days beyond the live class and if additional questions arise, we are always happy to respond. As chefs and pastry instructors, we have been teaching our own French Macaron method on bornbaker.com for over 16 years, (the last 5 on Outschool for little learners too!). You really cannot find better classes to learn how to master techniques in culinary and pastry arts. We do not provide refunds if you miss a class unless there is an emergency (on a case-by-case basis). We are also happy to provide a clean and clear video of the process inside the classroom so they may re-make these treats as often as they like.

Born Baker thinks that our learners know their way around the kitchen. Please help your student bakers if they are unfamiliar with the equipment or they will be using kitchen tools they've not had experience with. You know your learner best and we welcome your assistance in the kitchen as we bake together. The mise-en-place (measured ingredients) will require a bit of time to get it all together. Please help/guide your learner with their prep!

*Not Required But Very Helpful:
Oven thermometer - Each oven is different and sometimes they bake at the wrong temperature; different from the one that was set. It’s really important to bake the shells at the proper temperature to prevent the macaron shells from cracking or drying (too high temperature), undercooking (too low temperature), etc.
