4th & 5th Grade Math Series covers individual math topics covered in 4th, 5th, or both grade levels. Learn the formulas of Area and Perimeter for rectangles and squares. Learn to complete equations of simple shapes using steps that help keep your child's work neat and organized. Discover how to complete area and perimeter equations when measurements of length or width are unknown. Expand your knowledge of solving word problems to include those with area and perimeter. Finally use the skills learned about area and perimeter to complete equations involving complex shapes. Class will meet for 50 minutes for three days. Each class includes mini lessons on each topic and practice handouts/equations. Each student will be given a packet (file) at the end of the last class that will include further practice sheets to assist your child in mastering their new skills.

Necesidades de aprendizaje
Parents are REQUIRED to make instructor aware of needs prior to first class. All possible assistance will be made to assist in any students individual needs. Parent/Instructor Communication is expected throughout course.
Orientación para padres
Parental Guidance is expected should the student need assistance during class with either content or with computer issues. However, Parents/Guardians MUST REMAIN OFF SCREEN per Outschool's policy. Make sure that your child is set up so that others can not be caught on camera by accident. Its best to have a wall behind your student rather than a stairwell, door opening, or room in the background.
Requisitos previos
Students should currently be in a 4th or 5th grade level for mathematics.
