Each student will improve individualized executive function skills to remember geometry theorems, postulates, and properties more efficiently. These life skills include smart note-taking, time and energy management, task initiation, motivation, and more.
Each student will become proficient in using a scientific calculator.
Each student will shift from an algebra mindset to a geometry mindset.
Each student will improve logic skills needed to write geometric proofs.
Each student will learn theorems, postulates, formulas, definitions, and properties about polygons, congruence, trigonometry, circles, transformations, constructions, and other high school geometry principles.

I have taught and tutored math for over 20 years at a range of levels and diverse learning abilities, including 13 years teaching online. My master’s degrees and state teaching certificates are in Secondary Mathematics Education, Education of the Academically Gifted, and Adult Education. I have been recognized by the Mathematical Association of America and received their Sliffe Award for Distinguished Mathematics Teaching.

I have 20+ years of experience teaching (and parenting!) students with a Section 504 Plan (IAP) or Individual  Education Program (IEP), gifted or twice-exceptional students, and students with ADHD, while maintaining high academic standards.

Students should have successfully completed Algebra 1.
