Students will learn how adding strong descriptive words, adjectives and adverbs, can improve writing. We will discuss what adjectives and adverbs are and make a list of some together. We will look at pieces of stories that paint a visual picture using descriptive words. We will read some basic, boring sentences and practice adding adjectives and adverbs to create stronger, more interesting stories. Students will have the opportunity to choose descriptive words to add life to the stories they write. They will be encouraged to use adjectives and adverbs in their writing.

Hi! I'm Angela. I love to teach because I love to learn. I teach art and writing classes, classes about cake and cupcake decorating, and a variety of classes for elementary aged students. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and was certified in Early Childhood-4th grade. I taught first and third grade in public school and I currently homeschool my five children.
