In this class, we will be learning how to write a repetitive poem or a repeating poem. In class, I will begin by introducing this type of poetry through a description and information to this poem. We will then go over an example poem. I will explain what is done in this poem to help them understand it. We will then work on a repeating poem together as a class. I will then give the students time in class to create a poem for themselves. They will get plenty of time to work on this poem. After...
The students will be able to create their own repeating poem.
There will be no formal homework assignment, but if the students want to work more on their poem, they may want to.
The students will need paper and pencil to write their poems.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I will assess the students throughout class through informal assessment and through a formal assessment when they share their poems.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
