In this ongoing class, students will research and then write a paragraph about a different animal in each session (IEW Units 1 and 2). Finding meaningful key words and taking notes are the building blocks of effective research and writing.

Students will learn to identify key concepts and words in each sentence, how to take accurate notes, and how to speak and write from these notes.
I am a Certified IEW teacher and have taught the IEW writing methods for 14 years.
Homework OfferedStudents may not finish a final copy in class. If not, they should spend an additional 15 minutes polishing a final copy to present to family.
