Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
During the first 2 weeks of the complete 8-week WordPress Boot Camp, you will be using WordPress to create two (2) fully-functioning WordPress sites: (1) All Them Apples and (2) Cool Captures. When this first part is complete, you will have a solid understanding of the differences between WordPress.com and hosting a WordPress site yourself. Parts 2, 3 and 4 of the WordPress Boot Camp will build on Part 1.
I have been a web designer/developer since 1999, and I have been working with and teaching WordPress since 2009. It is an application I use daily. I have 30+ of my own WordPress sites, and I create/redesign/maintain WordPress sites for others as a freelance web designer/developer. You can view my profile on Upwork https://www.upwork.com/fl/faydra. You can also click the follow link to see more links to sites I have done recently: https://hlwes.com/work/
Homework during Week 1p1 will help you prepare for the new topics coming up in Week 2p1. The homework should take about two (2) hours. You will have from after class on Thursday (or Friday) until before class on Tuesday (or Sunday), which is a little more than 5 days, to complete your homework. If you do not complete the homework, then you will not be ready for the following week's work.
No additional purchases are necessary for this class. All assets we use to build our WordPress sites and all handouts will be provided to you at no additional charge, including a hosting account for all your WordPress sites that is yours to keep even after the classes are done.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
4 hours 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
