Beginner - Advanced Level

- I will be teaching audio engineering, music production, how to set up/optimize your gear, how to use FL Studio, and anything else within the bounds of music creation! 
- I choose to do 1-on-1 sessions to be able to personalize each session to the learner. Your learner tells me where they want to go, and I drive them there. My teaching style relies on connection, patience, adaptability, and clear communication. Creating report is how I build trust. My favorite teachers have always been the teachers that were the most direct but also had enough report built with me to provide constructive feedback. 
- It will be a very interactive, hands-on class session. I will ask questions to keep your learner present, allow them to screen share and man the software, and even record and make some music! It is highly recommended to take notes. I will also give assignments and tasks to practice before our next meeting. Not like traditional homework, more like practice recording in your DAW and create an 8-bar loop of music to present at our next session.

Pre-Requisites

Having a computer with a webcam and screenshare capabilities, access to a DAW (digital audio workstation) any will do but preferably FL Studio, and a microphone for recording (USB/Dynamic/Condenser/Ribbon, etc.).

I have been making music since 2018, I am completely self-taught, and I don't know music theory. I AM HERE TO TELL YOU... ANYONE CAN LEARN TO MAKE MUSIC IF I CAN DO IT!

This is not your typical music class. I am not your typical teacher. I have loads of real-life experience in professional studios and home studios alike. I currently mix and master on a platform called EngineEars. Created by none other than Kendrick Lamar's engineer (and so many others), MixedbyAli. Derek Ali personally vets every engineer on the platform. Professionally, I have worked on and released 150+ songs over the last 7 years. I have run sound for artists like Mint Condition, Blackstone, Shaboozey, Slaughter, Great White, and 100s of local bands as a live sound engineer.

I have worked as field guide for 13–17-year-old troubled youth in the West Desert of Utah for a wilderness therapy program called "Outback Therapeutic Expeditions". I have traveled solo to Thailand to study Buddhism in a meditation center. I have also explored Brazil with my 2 best friends. This being just a fraction of the influence of why I choose to help others.

With all that out the way. I have built a traveling music studio inside our 40-foot 5th wheel travel trailer alongside my partner, Mak! It is still a work in progress, but it finally fills a bit like home in our renovated home-on-wheels. Definitely a dream come true to get to make music and share what I have learned over the years as we travel the country!
