Class Experience

Calling all chefs! This weekly baking course is the class for you! Join us every week for a new dessert made from scratch. I will walk you through step by step how to make a delicious treat for your whole family to enjoy. You'll learn how to improve your food preparation skills, along with better food safety. Each week you'll add a new delicious recipe to your food repertoire, and your confidence in the kitchen will grow!

The list of ingredients will be posted in the supply list below and/or in the classroom at least 48 hours before class.

Here's an ongoing list of what we will be preparing in class:
(These dates and recipes are tentative and subject to change. At least a week's notice will be given for any changes )

The class time may vary for the class depending on the recipe. We may finish a little early or a little late, depending on recipe difficulty and how quickly our class is able to get through the recipe.

IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST WEEK, PLEASE SEND ME A MESSAGE ASKING FOR THE INGREDIENT LIST! Outschool doesn't let you see classroom posts from before you were enrolled, so there's a good chance you won't be able to see the list in the classroom this time. In future weeks, you'll easily find the ingredients list at the top of the classroom page several days before class.

Hello there! My name is Jaime and I love to bake, cook, dance, and watercolor. I can't wait to share these skills with you in my Outschool courses!

I have a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in ESL. I have taught in classrooms from kindergarten through 5th grade, and I love making learning fun and engaging!

I'm a work-at-home mom of 3 cute kids and 1 energetic pup. I speak 2 foreign languages (Spanish & Portuguese) and have lived in 3 different countries (USA, China, & Cape Verde). I’m a big Harry Potter fan (go Hufflepuff!), and I have an odd knack for being able to remember random movie quotes. I’ve also wanted to be a teacher since I was very little, and I absolutely love teaching here on Outschool!
