Class Experience

Word problems are a challenge for most students. Why?

Poor reading comprehension? Weak math skills? Need for more practice? A combination of these factors?

Solution: More practice without jeopardizing a student's math grade.

Class #1: place value, addition, money, subtraction
Class #2: multiplication and division
Class #3: perimeter and area
Class #4: fractions

This class is appropriate for students who:
..are ready for more challenging math
..want to improve their current grade in math
..prepare in advance for the next chapters in math class
..improve chances for a higher score on a standard test (state tests, entrance examinations for private schools, etc.).

Problems will be done as a small class. Students are encouraged to share how they correctly solved problems.

When it comes to word problems, there are only a few new math skills in the 4th grade. This is why these two grade levels were combined.
