We will begin class with introductions to allow the students to get to know each other and the teacher. Students will then be introduced to the analog clock. They will be shown the difference between the hour and minute hands. Students will be introduced telling time to the hour, 15 minutes, half hour, and 45 minutes on an analog clock. Students will have the opportunity to use the handout provided to practice what they have learned before we move on to the digitial clock. We will then move to telling time on digital clocks. Students will be shown where to find the hour and the minutes on the digital clock. We will then practice telling time to the hour, 15 minutes, half hour, and 45 minutes on a digital clock. Students will again have the opportunity to use the handout provided to practice what they have learned. If we have time at the end of class, I will quiz the students using both analog and digital clocks to ensure their understanding of what was learned during class. Class will then end with brief good-byes.
