In this one time class we will read "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" by Bill Martin Jr. and Eric Carle, discuss and sequence the events in the story. Then we will complete a retelling craftivity together!

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - Kindergarten
Join me in this one time interactive class. Your child will learn to identify the parts of a book, sequencing, colors and names of animals while listening to the popular story, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? By Bill Martin Jr. and Eric Carle. During this class, your child will be introduced to the parts of a book. Next, I will read the story to the students, who will be encouraged to read the repetitive phrases in the story along with me! We will also review colors and animals...
Students will learn about the parts of a book. Students will practice pre-reading skills such as reading from left to right and top to bottom. Students will understand words represent a spoken word and convey a message. Students will answer simple questions about the story. Students will describe elements in a story, for example, characters and/or setting (time, place, and/or environment).
Homework Offered
I will attach a PDF of a story slider craftivity that we will make and use in class. Students will be encouraged to use this at home to retell the story to their family.Assessments Offered
