Class Experience

This class will be centered around our individual values as people. We will be learning about the conflicts that arise within ourselves when we are pressured to act and behave in a manner that is against those values. We will be learning about finding our own understanding of life and the world.

We will go on a journey together of self exploration and aquiring the tools necessary to keep us straight on the journey that we choose. We will also be talking about our responsibility to show others that we can stand our ground on all things that go against our personal belief system.

This is a non religious course. This is only about personal beliefs and understandings. Life is hard. Especially for these aged students and those who are uncomfortable with not being liked. This class requires participation from the students. I am a discussion based teacher and enjoy including the children in the discussion. I am excited to meet your child!
Learning Goals
Students will learn first what peer pressure is. Then what we can do about it without causing harm to ourselves or others. We will learn healthy outlets for our thoughts and feelings. We will learn how to be just who we are. Standing on our own values is something that even us adults struggle with at times. I would like to create a healthy atmosphere for students to learn how to stay true to their self.
