Join an exciting expedition to visit Antarctica and meet penguins! Become wildlife explorers and discover the penguin habitat, predators, and unique facts about these incredible animals. Learn and play on this interactive adventure to Antarctica! - Waddle across the snow and then dive into the cold ocean. - Leap into the air and use your penguin tuxedo suit to hide from predators. - Slide on your belly and go tobogganing across the ice. By the end our interactive holiday expedition, learners will be able to answer questions including: - Did scientists find penguin fossils that prove penguins lived during the Age of Dinosaurs? - How do penguins sleep if only half of their brain rests while the other half listens for predators? - If penguins move slowly on land by waddling, can they move faster by tobogganing across the ice? - Can polar bears and caribou ever meet penguins in the wild? Our adventure will also include a coloring project. At the end of our imaginative expedition, learners can share their penguin artworks. *If there is a different date or time that would work better than the available sections, please send me a message. I am more than happy to accommodate.

Teaching has always been a passion of mine since I was a little girl. My mom taught at a bilingual elementary school in the South Bronx. I always admired the way she spent countless hours preparing for classes and the way she loved her job. I knew I wanted to follow in her footsteps.
Most of my eight years of teaching has been in the museum education field. I have taught hands-on arts classes in science, art, and history museums in Florida and Massachusetts, as well as abroad in Costa Rica.
I live in Florida with my husband and our cat, Patrick. I have a B.A. in Art History degree as well as a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Florida. Additionally, while I was working in a history museum in Boston, I took evening classes in Art Education at Harvard.
I believe that learning should always be engaging and fun. My experience has taught me that most children learn and retain information the best when the lesson is hands-on. My classes have educational topics that incorporate an arts and crafts activity.
I look forward to the opportunity to teach your children in a fun and creative way. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me.
