Class Experience

Hello learners! Mrs. Ali here... I mean, Coach Ali! You might know me from my writing courses, but did you know I have played volleyball for over 20 years?! (That is a picture of me on the class image). I have played at the middle school, high school, collegiate levels, and currently play on a competitive local team. I have also coached at the club and high school levels! Now I am on Outschool to teach you what I know so you can become a successful volleyball player as well.

In this one-time PRIVATE LESSON, we will focus on the skills you would like to work on to improve your volleyball game including PASSING, SETTING, OVERHAND SERVING, HITTING, and BLOCKING. We can also go over some of the rules and how to play 6-on-6 court volleyball. If you are considering trying out for a local team, this class is a great way to prepare!

For this class, you will need a ball, a wall, and about 6 square feet of space.
A volleyball is preferred, but a beachball, dodgeball, or a yard ball the size of a volleyball will work. The wall should be BLANK, free of windows, decor, or furniture. If you need to set up outside, just make sure your wifi and audio work properly! Tennis shoes or bare feet are acceptable in order to maintain good traction while performing drills.

Outline of class:
Warm-up stretch and introductions/facts about the game (5 minutes)
Technique and position of how to do skills requested, practice drills using ball & wall (20 minutes)
Go over homework practice drills (5 minutes)
Learners will be given a homework page at the end of class to practice the drills learned.

Learners may enroll in additional sections if more lessons are needed for continued preparation!
THIS CLASS IS BY REQUEST SO PLEASE REACH OUT WITH INTEREST TO SET UP A TIME!

Learners are also welcome to take my 4-day camp with other learners here: https://outschool.com/classes/volleyball-camp-for-beginners-XXBVjmxO?usid=An4XqbVr&signup=true&utm_campaign=share_activity_link
