Let’s become better writers! "Be You and Become a Better Writer" classes are designed to help students improve their writing and express their individuality with the support and guidance of a K-12 certified English teacher. In this 8-week class, we will learn all about poetry and how to write it while catering to each learner's interests (Be You!). Each week, learners will be introduced to or review poetry terms to help them with that week's assignments. We will focus on figurative...
Learners will improve their writing skills and knowledge of poetry and figurative language by completing 7 different types of poems.
Classroom teacher in the state of Texas for 5th and 6th grade English for 5 years.
Homework Offered
Learners will need to complete assigned poems each week to be ready to read in the next class.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

Learners will create a digital storybook of their story using the platform: Story Jumper. Usernames and accounts will be created by teacher, learners will not need emails to use platform.
