"Be You and Become a Better Writer" classes are designed to help learners improve their writing and express their individuality with the support and guidance of a K-12 certified English teacher. In the 8-week Expository Writing Unit, learners will learn about four different text structures (description, compare & contrast, cause & effect, problem & solution) and choose one to create their own unique essay that they will share with a presentation in week 8. Learners will become better writers by learning how to write an expository essay.
Classroom teacher in the state of Texas for 5th and 6th grade English for 5 years.
Any assignments not completed in class will be due the next week.
If using a tablet, Google slides app is needed to edit slides for the writing assignments.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
