At the end of the lesson, learners will be assessed by completing a mock interview. Their responses will receive feedback.Class Experience
In this one-time class, we will learn how to exceed and "stand out" during one of our first job interviews. We will discuss how to prepare for the job interview, how to make a stellar first impression, the basics of interviewing, how to appropriately follow up with the hiring manager, and we'll go over some bonus tips and tricks. To conclude the lesson, we will have a mock interview. You will be asked common interviewing questions. This will allow you an opportunity to practice your response to questions that you will most likely be asked. You will receive feedback from myself and other learners within the class. An info sheet will be provided after class for you to refer back to as your prepare individually for one of your first job interviews.
Learning Goals

Teacher expertise and credentials
Florida Teaching Certificate in English/Language Arts
Bachelor's Degree in Education from University of North Florida
Before becoming a full-time English teacher, I worked alongside the hiring manager for Darden restaurants. Currently, I sit in most teaching interviews at the high school I teach for, so I have a lot of expertise when it comes to interviewing for a desired job.
Also, I help students develop their resumes and prepare for their first job interviews to help them secure their dream position.
