Class Experience

US Grade 9 - 12
In this one-to-one course, I will teach how to identify your skills, knowledge and abilities and communicate them in an interview setting. Students will discuss what kind of job interests they have and why. I will conduct a mock interview (role play) where I will interview the student and ask questions based on their area of interest. If they have a specific job description, they can bring it to class. Topics covered include:

- Identifying your interests, skills, knowledge and abilities
- How to Prepare for Your Interview
- Interview Questions Commonly Asked
- Mock Interview (role play)

Your learner will have my undivided attention in learning how to respond to questions in an interview and overcome being nervous and anxious. It is normal to be nervous in an interview and we discuss strategies on how to work through this. By having the right tools and being prepared for an interview, students feel more confident to talk about their skills and talents.

I will provide a standard set of commonly asked questions for your learner to keep and practice from. At the end of our mock interview, I'll provide feedback on how your learner performed in the interview by critiquing their eye contact, sound, quality of answers and body language.

Hello!
My name is Natasha and I'm a Career Coach. I'm happy to share my expertise in helping you land your internship, summer/part time job or Co-op opportunity. I help you identify your skills and talents and teach you how communicate effectively in an interview!

I teach classes on how to prepare for an interview by conducting mock interviews with students individually, providing one-on-one support to help them practice for the real thing! This could be in preparation for a Co-op opportunity, an internship, a part-time or summer job.
I also teach students how to develop their resume by identifying their skills, knowledge and abilities. They can use this tool to apply for jobs of their interest!

I have worked as a Career Coach for over 10 years supporting students and youth in identifying their skills and talents to apply for internships, apprenticeships, summer jobs, part-time jobs and Co-op opportunities. Mentoring youth has been a passion of mine for many years and helping them find their path has been rewarding.

I have a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Toronto and have certificates in Working at Heights, Health & Safety and WHMIS.

I believe every student has their own abilities, skills and talents to share and develop in this world and I'd like to help them achieve their goals. I also make classes as interactive as possible giving students an opportunity to share their ideas and experiences in a comfortable environment.
