Class Experience
In this exciting book club we will take a journey through space and time by reading A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle. This science fiction/fantasy book features protagonists who face many obstacles along the way to rescue their father. This quest takes them to new planets, where they discover that the universe is in a struggle of Good vs. Evil. This book includes the themes of the power of love and the value of individuality. We will be discussing a major moral of the story. ...
Students will need to read approximately 3 chapters outside of class each week which is equivalent to approximately 60 pages.
Students will need to obtain a copy of A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle. Amazon or Barnes and Noble are both great places to purchase this novel.
Each learner progress is assessed through individual work. We will hold class discussions and go over comprehension questions and answers.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Please understand that this novel has an inclusion of witches and crystal balls.
