My teaching style: In all of my classes my teaching style is inspired by the Charlotte Mason philosophy, which sees each child as a capable and curious learner. Here is how I approach teaching: 1. Child-Centered learning-I believe that children thrive when they take ownership of their learning. In this class, your child will have the freedom to explore ideas and topics that interest them, encouraging a love for learning that lasts a lifetime. 2. Interactive and engaging-I use a blend of discussion, narration, and creative activities to help students connect with the story on a deeper level. This hands-on approach makes learning both meaningful and fun. 3.Focused and respectful-Lessons are kept short and focused to respect your child's natural attention span. I aim to cultivate good habits of attention, reflection, and self-expression, helping your child grow as a thoughtful reader. 4. Supportive and encouraging-I provide gentle guidance, creating a supportive environment where every student feels valued and confident in sharing their thoughts and ideas. MY GOAL IS TO INSPIRE YOUR CHILD TO LOVE READING, THINK CRITICALLY, AND TAKE JOY IN THEIR LEARNING JOURNEY.

I have regained my love for reading through being a homeschool mom and getting the opportunity to read beautiful stories to my children. I truly believe that reading gives you the opportunity to travel to other worlds and become a part of that world even if it just for that little while. Reading has given me so many opportunities to share with others as well that have a passion for reading and discover different genres too!
I have taught students how to read, how to hold a book, letters, letter recognition, numbers, number recognition, colors, shapes, rhyming, reading comprehension, writing in a journal, learning how to speak in complete sentences and so much more!!
But most importantly at the end of all this I have seen students regain their confidence and their love for learning through reading!
