The Ultimate Chibi Drawing FLEX Class!
What's included
Class Experience
Do you love drawing cute chibi cartoon characters? Meeting new friends from around the world? Whether you are new to drawing anime/chibi or an experienced artist, you will be sure to love this class! Each week, you will be learning to draw a new and unique chibi cartoon character. I will be drawing my characters on a piece of white blank paper, with a pencil, but you are encouraged to use whatever medium feels best for you! (ie. tablet, paper, etc). Each week I will switch up features such as the way I do the eyes, hair, etc, so that you will get a variety of options and learn a variety of techniques along the way! This is a (FLEX)IBLE class, which means that there is not a set class time for live instruction (via Zoom). The parent and student artist will determine the best time according to their schedule. This is great for busy or uncertain schedules and any time zone! This course allows time for the student to pause the program and really work on their technique, details, and confidence. No need to rush through the class. Take your time and enjoy drawing the things you love! Not to worry though, you will not miss out on all of the factors that we know and love about meeting together live, because we have the classroom board to make up for it! This is where we will engage with each other, add/post our artwork, feedback, etc. So, you get the best of both worlds! "Need to knows" of Course: - I will be uploading a weekly video lesson demonstrating how to draw a new and unique chibi character. -There are no live classes, however, there will be plenty of interactions between the students and each other and myself - Students are encouraged to share their drawings once completed, but uploading a picture of it to the class board - Students are encouraged to provide encouraging and positive feedback to their peers - I will be responding to each child's weekly post with encouraging feedback -Students are encouraged to ask questions on the class board if they are uncertain of something, want clarification regarding the weekly drawing, or even want to share ideas to inspire the next weekly drawing!

Hello, and thanks for stopping by! I invite you to read my page and discover a bit more about me & what I do here on Outschool!
—————
I’m Mrs.Holmes, and I have the best job in the world: I get to teach kids from all over the world how to draw, and connect with them through a universal love of art and fun!
I am a Certified Elementary School Teacher based out beautiful, Vancouver, Canada. I have a Bachelors Degree in both the fields of Education (with a focus on Special Education), and Psychology. I was a full-time classroom teacher for years before starting to teach on Outschool in 2020. After falling in love with the experience of teaching here, I soon after left classroom teaching all together and shifted my love for teaching, online. What I found is that I was able to take my love for teaching and inspiring children, and combine it with my own personal passion for art. I now solely teach drawing and art classes here on Outschool, and am very fulfilled with my job to do so.
I’m very intentional about inspiring my students here on Outschool, and seek to help them find confidence in themselves when creating art. It is essential and important to me that my classes here are safe and positive environments for all learners. We celebrate everyone’s efforts and abilities!
When we draw together, steps will be broken down into small steps and will be throughly explained to ensure understanding. Room will always be given for adding your own personal flare and exploring your creativity.
I hope to draw with you soon!
Mrs. Holmes

A little more about me: I am a mom to two incredible little girls, who both have the kindest hearts and love art as much as I do! I am married to a Firefighter, and am very proud of the work he does to serve others. We have a family dog named Ollie, and he is an English Bulldog! He is 7 years old, and loves to nap. I love to drink tea, do crafts, explore the outdoors, and spend time with my family ❤️
