Class Experience

US Grade 6 - 9
The Princess Bride movie is a beloved, classic movie full of adventure and laughter. Join me for a fantastic and thought-provoking discussion AFTER you see the movie.

*The movie is currently available with a Disney+ subscription or you can rent it on Amazon and other streaming services.

This fun and relaxed movie discussion will foster a love of stories and lay the foundations for future literary analysis. Learners will be encouraged to share their ideas, thoughts, and conclusions about various aspects of the book and movie in a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere.

BEFORE OUR MEETING
Learners should read (or listen to) the book and watch the movie.

Our discussion will focus on comparing the movie version to the book version. We will compare our vision for the characters, the setting, and the story to the producer's vision. We'll also share what we loved and didn't love about the screen version of this book.

MEETING INFORMATION
During our meeting, I will facilitate a roundtable discussion and make sure everyone has a chance to share their ideas. I'll guide the students as they express their opinions and listen to others.

Everyone will be asked to share a favorite quote, character, or moment from the movie at the end of our meeting.

Our meeting will end with the game, "Movie Scattergories."

I can't wait to discuss this movie with you. Happy Reading!
