In this course, students will define and identify action verbs and linking verbs. They will study to understand the present and past tenses of these verbs.

In this course, students will first learn or review the definitions of an action verb and a linking verb. Afterward, they will form the present and past tenses of these verbs. ACTION VERBS: They will be given examples of the base forms of action verbs and encouraged to add to the list. The students will then be given the opportunity to use the present and past tenses of these verbs in simple sentences before the teacher's guidance. After an initial attempt, if necessary, the students will receive guidance. This process will be repeated for multiple action verbs. LINKING VERBS: The students will be given examples of the base form of linking verbs and encouraged to add to the list if so able. They will then be asked to form the present and past tenses of these verbs in simple sentences. The students will be given the opportunity to attempt the verb conjugation without the teacher's guidance and then given the assistance they need. These steps will be repeated as we move through the verb list which was created.

Students will enhance their understanding of action and linking verbs and how to conjugate them effectively in the present and past tenses.
