I have taught elementary education for 16 years in the public school setting for grades 1-3. I have a strong background in reading and love using reading to teach across other content areas. It is my goal and desire to show every child that reading can be fun and that it can cover a variety of interests and that we can learn many things while reading.
Homework Offered
-Every week after class I will place an assignment with five sentences. In these sentences the student is asked to circle or underline the part of speech for that week. The student can also create 5 of their own sentences to bring to class the following week. -After the last week of class a list of 10 sentences will be added to the class for the parent to use as a grade on the parts of speech. *This homework is optional - but can be used as a grade if needed for record keeping.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
The student will be assessed throughout class each week through teacher observation and discussion and through the completion of homework. There will also be a review posted at the end of the 5 weeks that the parent can use as a review or a grade.Grades Offered
