1-2 hours per week. Students are encourages to create a folder or notebook that includes information about each parts of speech. The notebook can be used as a resource guide for future writing as well as assist with organization and note taking skills. Activities for review will be posted at the end of the session. Approximately 30 minutes should be scheduled to review and organize daily notes.Assessment
A parts of speech notebook will be shared as a form of assessment. Notebooks can be created on or off line.Class Experience

Beginner - Intermediate Level
These study hall sessions will teach you how to use the parts of speech better than an AI program. Learners will understand Articles, Nouns, Verbs, Adjectives, Adverbs, Prepositions, Conjunctions and Pronouns are different types of words. Understanding the parts of speech transfers into sentences, paragraph and essay writing skills. We will review, define, identify, and properly use the different parts of speech. My eclectic teaching style pools together resources to assist students' ability to express themselves on paper. Students will create a parts of speech chart, design writing outlines and diagram sentences during our class time. Our sessions will include: Week One Types of Nouns Common, Proper, Singular, Plural, Possessive, Concrete and Abstract Week Two Types of Verbs Physical, Mental, State of Being Verb Tenses Week Three Type of Pronouns Personal, Demonstrative, Reflexive, Possessive, Singular and Plural Week Four Adjectives and Adverbs Comparative, Superlative, Demonstrative, Interrogative Manner, Place, Time, Degree Week Five Prepositions Time, Place, Simple, Compound Week Six Types of Conjunctions and Articles FANBOYS, Coordinating, Subordinating, Correlative Week Seven Parts of Speech in sentences Diagramming Sentences Week Eight Fragments, Phrases, Clauses and Sentences
