Class Experience

Grab your teddy bears and let's speak French! In this class, students will use their furry friends to introduce themselves, explore colors, sing songs, and play interactive games. They will learn the basic vocabulary and simple sentence structures while perfecting their pronunciation. No prior French required!! Minimal English will be used for full immersion, but there will also be minimal instructions conveyed.

We will start out with introductions for both ourselves and our "nounours". Each class offers a new topic to learn about. Each topic includes a song or game that you can continue singing or playing at home. Songs are nursery rhyme melodies with new French words to review the learned vocabulary! Be ready to sing, move, groove, laugh, and play while we learn French!

My Muting Policy:
As this is a language class, I want to be sure every student can hear me and that I can hear each student when it is their turn! This is best for hearing pronunciation and making corrections.
I may need to mute your child if there is background noise in the learner's space, people are talking loudly near the learner, or the learner is regularly repeating. (Repeating is great and parents should encourage this! However, regular repeating when it is another's child's turn makes it difficult for me to hear the other learners. So I may need to mute your child. But then please continue repeating! )
***Because the mute function may need to be implemented at some point, I suggest several solutions for having a smooth class!
1. Teach the student how to unmute themselves before class and explain why they may occasionally be muted by me.
2. Have an adult present who can help unmute the learner.
3. Change your settings so that I as the teacher can manually mute and unmute the learner. (This is the easiest for young children!)
Please let me know if you have any questions about this policy!
