This class follows a full year of Common Core Kindergarten math curriculum. Join anytime as we continually review and practice previously taught math concepts throughout the year. Great for those who are kindgarten age, as well as younger preschoolers who are advanced, as well as older students needing to build a strong foundation in early math skills. We love all our learners! πΈLive classes, 2x a week πΈStart, stop, or pause your subscription at any time πΈOptional handouts and worksheets will be provided no later than the Monday before class πΈA supply list will be sent out no later than the Monday before class for any hands-on activities we will do during the week. Feel free to message me with any questions or concerns! ========================= MATH CIRCLE TIME SCHEDULE ========================= Welcome song Calendar Math: months of the year/days of the week Number of the day Shape of the day Question of the day/Graphing students' responses Theme of the day/Math concept of the day Practice math concept Game/activity Goodbye song MUTING GUIDELINES I enjoy hearing the class interacting with me and with each other, so feel free to unmute your microphone. If there is too much background noise that becomes distracting, I will mute students so that others can hear. All students should practice how to mute and unmute themselves or have an adult nearby to help if needed. ===================== 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR ===================== AUGUST Week of Aug 19: Counting Week of Aug 26: Write and identify numbers SEPTEMBER Week of Sept 2: Match sets with numerals and compare sets Week of Sept 9: Intro to addition Week of Sept 16: Add within 5 Week of Sept 23: Represent addition with objects Week of Sept 30: Review counting and addition OCTOBER Week of Oct 7: Flat shapes (2D) Week of Oct 14: Classify and model 2D shapes Week of Oct 21: Hexagon, trapazoid, rhombus Week of Oct 28: Intro to subtraction NOVEMBER Week of Nov 4-8: Subtraction within 5/word problems Week of Nov 11-15: Represent subtraction with objects Week of Nov 18-22: Add 1/take away 1 Week of Nov 25-29: Sequencing numbers/NO CLASS on Thursday the 28th for Thanksgiving DECEMBER Week of Dec 2-6: Counting on and more than/less than Week of Dec 9-13: Measureable attributes/length Week of Dec 16-20: weight/height WINTER BREAK Dec 23-Jan 3: NO CLASSES JANUARY Week of Jan 6-10: Count within 20 Week of Jan 13-17: Write and identify numbers to 10-14 Week of Jan 20-24: Write and identify numbers 15-20 Week of Jan 27-31: Compose and decompose numbers 11-19 FEBRUARY Week of Feb 3-7: Teen numbers Week of Feb 10-14: Simple shapes into larger shapes Week of Feb 17-21: Solid shapes (3D) Week of Feb 24-28: Classify and sort 3D shapes MARCH Week of Mar 3-7: More than/less than up to 20 Week of Mar 10-14: Sequencing and counting on to 20 Week of Mar 17-21: Compose and decompose numbers 11-19 Week of Mar 24-28: Representing teen numbers SPRING BREAK March 31-April 4: NO CLASSES APRIL Week of Apr 7-11: Addting with ten frames and number lines Week of Apr 14-18: Subtracting with number lines/word problems Week of Apr 21-25: Addition/subtraction with objects Week of Apr 28-May 2: Positional words MAY Week of May 5-9: More than/less than Week of May 12-16: Sorting Week of May 19-23: Counting to 100 by 10s Week of May 26-30: Counting to 100 by 1s JUNE Week of Jun 2-6: Word problems Week of Jun 9-13: Add/subtract fluently within 5 Week of Jun 16-20: Addition/subtraction Week of Jun 23-27: Drawing pictures to solve word problems END OF SCHOOL YEAR - SUMMER CLASS TO REVIEW AND PREPARE FOR 1st GRADE JULY Week of Jun 30-Jul 4: Review games/Prep for 1st grade Week of Jul 7-11: Review games/Prep for 1st grade Week of Jul 14-18: Review games/Prep for 1st grade Week of Jul 21-25: Review games/Prep for 1st grade Week of Jul 28-Aug 1: Review games/Prep for 1st grade
