Summer Reading Club: Junie B. Jones Aloha-Ha-Ha!
In this 3-day class, students will read along with Junie B. Jones Aloha-Ha-Ha! as well as participate in book-club style questions.

Students may be asked to complete a short reading assignment at home if not all of the reading is completed during live class time.Assessment
Student will be informally assessed by teacher in a report that will be sent to parents after the completion of the course. This report will include information about the student's reading abilities, participation skills, and overall comprehension.Class Experience
US Grade 2 - 5
In this course, students will read along and out loud the book, Junie B. Jones Aloha-ha-ha. Over the 3-day course, students will learn new vocabulary, answer comprehension questions, and work on fluency. Every day, class will start with introductions and then we will jump right into reading. Reading will consist of a mix of popcorn reading and teacher reading. Each day we will focus on a different section of the book as shown below: Day 1: Read chapters 1-3 Day 2: Read chapters 4-6 Day 3: Read chapters 7-10 Throughout the reading portion of class, students will be asked comprehension questions about what they have just read and how it relates to over material that we have covered in class. Students will also be encouraged to bring any questions about the reading they have to class to discuss. Students may have homework if all reading is not completed in class. Students do not need to read the book prior to attending this class.
