Description
Class Experience
Learners will develop their awareness of communication “best practices” by participating in class discussions that highlight the importance of effective communication and building positive relationships by starting, continuing, and ending conversations. They will also explore the importance of active listening and connecting with others. With interactive slides, discussions, and even some fun memes, this class is perfect for developing soft skills in preparation for the future! Topics covered...
Learners will develop their knowledge and demonstrate their understanding of communication skills by responding to open-ended questions and applying their understanding by participating in activities, role-playing, and learner-led discussions. Learners will collaborate to complete critical thinking games.
As a former Walt Disney World Cast Member, I gained valuable experience in the hospitality industry and was trained in key pillars of service excellence. With a degree in Event Management from the University of Central Florida, I'm passionate about teaching others essential career and life skills. Soft skills are especially important for high school students, as they can greatly impact future success. My professional background includes event operations, social media management, voice acting, and international flight attendant experience, all of which demonstrate the importance of soft skills in any career.
