In this 4-day camp, each lesson will demonstrate 2 essential soft skills per day in a presentation format. Learners will be asked to engage in the class discussion, connect to their own experiences, and relate those experiences to the subject matter. The information will be delivered through instructional talks, open-ended questions, cited internet sources such as educational websites, blogs, videos, podcasts, a GIF or an occasional meme, and a final review game. The grand finale game will be a fun take on my personal favorite hit TV game show, to test learners' knowledge of what they have learned throughout the camp. We will discuss career and life-essential topics while exploring analogies and putting 8 of these critical skills into perspective. We will explore why these skill topics matter most in today's evolving world. The 8 skill topics we will discuss are; Character & Expression, Communication, Teamwork, Critical Thinking, Attitude & Mindset, Diversity & Inclusion, Time Management, and Appearance & Etiquette. Learning Goals
Learners will develop their knowledge and demonstrate their understanding of 8 soft skills topics. Learners will be introduced to practices and theories of soft skills training throughout the course by analyzing data, responding to open-ended questions, applying their understanding by participating in activities, and learner-led discussions.
