Class Experience

This is an ongoing weekly class, that will create a safe space for learners to explore their emotions, and build a foundation for social-emotional learning.  Through fun activities, games, stories and exercises, we will learn how to identify and recognize our different emotions and what to do when we have 'big emotions''. We will also learn how to be good friends with other learners, while having fun in the classroom


This class supports your learners as they
⭐	Build an emotional vocabulary
⭐	Learn to identify their emotions and feelings 
⭐	Build a selection of tools and strategies to help them regulate their emotions
⭐	Use mindfulness exercises / body breaks to help balance our emotions
⭐	Learn about friendships and how to share ideas and play with our peers
⭐	Explore strategies and solutions we can use to help us solve problems. And become ‘risk takers’ because making mistakes is FUN and helps us learn!

Learning Goals

This class supports your learners as they build their social-emotional skills. They will build their emotional vocabulary, learn to identify their emotions and feelings and explore how to play with peers and work to solve problems together.

I have been teaching for over 25 years. Social-emotional learning and character development have always been at the foundation of my lessons because I believe a learner needs to feel emotionally secure and have time to develop those important social-emotional and problem-solving strategies, needed to play and collaborate with their peers and friends. Exploring these topics and skills in a supportive environment, where we know that it's ok to take risks is so important for learners. With a Bachelors of Education, and a Masters in Education, as well as more than 25 years working with learners from all over the world, with different abilities and neurodiverse learners, my classroom is a space where I welcome all learners, and I will work with you to provide accommodations for your learners if needed, to the best of my ability.
