In this ongoing class, we will focus on Algebra topics, taught in a small group setting in a relaxing and supportive classroom.

Class Experience

We will use our time together to help each of you succeed in math, whether that is working through homework assignments, test preparations or any topics that are a little cloudy in your mind.  With just a little practice, our skills will increase greatly after our time together!
Some things we may cover in our sessions are:
*Solving for variables
*Quadratic Formula 
*Linear Equations
*Multiplying Binomials (FOIL)
*Factoring Equations
*Multiplying Equations
*Pythagorean Theorem
*Square numbers
Since this class will be learner directed, there is not a planned weekly lesson plan. Rather, we will work on whatever the learners need in order to understand and excel in their current math class. 
My teaching style is patient and supportive. After teaching math for many years, I have all kinds of tricks up my sleeve to help you understand Algebra in new ways.  
No required knowledge or experience needed!

Hello, I am happy to welcsome new students to my classes!  I am certified to teach Mathematics for grades 7 -12 and have over 20 years experience teaching  Algebra, Geometry, 
Algebra ll and pre-calculus. 
  Throughout my career teaching in Michigan's public schools, my students often said that I made math "much easier to understand," which is a great compliment!
   My philosophy behind teaching is that the more fun and relevant the lessons are, the more kids relate to it and want to learn more. Math can be fun when it is applied to situations in our lives. My desire to help students drives me to continue improving lessons each day!
     The things I love to do in my free time include: spending time with family, traveling, and doing just about anything with my adorable dog, Echo. I love to meet new people and help kids, so this is the perfect job for me!
