US Grade 1 - 4
In this one on one class, the focus will be on the student's own math needs. We may cover many topics in math such as integers, fractions, positive and negative numbers, equations, variables, decimals, square numbers, measuring, and much more. I have many tricks up my sleeve to help kids see things differently. My teaching style is very calm and supportive. I have taught math in public schools for many years, so have spent decades improving my lessons and learning to recognize students' strengths and struggles. No experience or knowledge needed! No stress here.
Learning Goals
The goals of this class are:
*To increase the student's understanding of math.
*To increase the student's confidence in himself or herself on all future math tests.
*To improve the student's note taking abilities (This is often the key to success for many students)Other Details

Hello, I am happy to welcsome new students to my classes! I am certified to teach Mathematics for grades 7 -12 and have over 20 years experience teaching Algebra, Geometry,
Algebra ll and pre-calculus.
Throughout my career teaching in Michigan's public schools, my students often said that I made math "much easier to understand," which is a great compliment!
My philosophy behind teaching is that the more fun and relevant the lessons are, the more kids relate to it and want to learn more. Math can be fun when it is applied to situations in our lives. My desire to help students drives me to continue improving lessons each day!
The things I love to do in my free time include: spending time with family, traveling, and doing just about anything with my adorable dog, Echo. I love to meet new people and help kids, so this is the perfect job for me!Reviews
