40 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
It’s time to “catch up” on what you “must” know as a growing Mathematician! In this class, we will practice skip counting by 2's, 3's, 5's, and 10's. We will review a hundreds chart and the patterns we notice with these numbers. We will then play a virtual "Hurry Up to HIVE FIVE" skip counting board game. Who will be the first to skip count to the finish, and what does that tell us about each counting pattern? It's a great refresher class for any skip counting "BEE-ginner" or expert! Lace up your shoes and get ready to skip ahead in math with us!

Parental Guidance
Parental support may be required for setting up the virtual board game. As a reminder, all Outschool parents are asked to remain off camera.
Supply List
No physical materials are needed for this course, although I am including a printable version of our game board and materials. I highly recommend learners have the game board printed prior to the lesson. Though all materials (including the game board) will be provided virtually, learners may have a more comprehensive experience with their own printed board, game piece (a paperclip or penny will do!), and dice (just 1 is needed).
1 file available upon enrollment
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello, Outschool! I am an elementary school teacher excited to bring cross-curricular learning experiences that inspire creativity and encourage conceptual mastery for the early learner. I have taught children in grades 1-5 in the public school setting and have tutored elementary, middle, and high school students over the last 15 years. I have a love for learning and am currently pursuing my Masters in Educational Leadership. Finally, I believe that the primary purpose of education is to engage, empower, and enlighten young learners to be influential in the world around them. When I'm not teaching on Outschool, I enjoy writing music, photography, and playing with my 14-month-old toddler.
It will certainly "BEE" a pleasure learning with all of you!
Also, please "BEE" aware that, should you need to reach me, I welcome your message and will aim to connect with you by the next business day!
